Fact #2. Those weird infomercial selling contraptions will not do the job. Most likely they will end up gathering dust under your bed or in some dark corner of your spare room.
Fact #3. There is no pill or medicine you can swallow that will dissolve your excess fat.
Fact #4. The science of fitness, common sense and reality, will help you get rid of stomach fat and keep it off for life!
Our human bodies continue to adapt over the centuries to our natural available food sources. We can chose to eat a balanced diet full of a diverse array of foods from these natural sources. This consists of carbohydrates, proteins, AND fats which gives our bodies all of the macro-nutrients as well as all of the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and enzymes, that they need to run like a well-oiled fat-burning machine!
When you sign up for fad diets such as extremely low-carb, or low-fat, or the grapefruit diet, the soup diet, or anything else that restricts 1 or more of the macro-nutrients (protein, carbs, and fat), most of the time you will actually lose lean muscle mass and lower your metabolic rate. This makes you fatter in the long run when you go back to eating normally again!
What happens with these diets is that you are interfering with the processes related to the hormonal balance in your body. The muscle glycogen process, insulin, blood sugar, etc., and this can stop your fat loss dead in its tracks!
Losing stomach fat will NOT happen by only doing exercises that target the abdominal area. Reputable fitness publications have been telling us this for years.
